As Book Creator is a stand alone app it doesn’t require a terms of service at present – we don’t store any user data, create user accounts etc. In other words we don’t operate a service.
I was impressed with the quick response from the company, and appreciated the explanation.
1. Non-personal data
Red Jumper may use tools or third-party analytical software to automatically collect and use certain non-personal data that does not directly enable Red Jumper to identify you.
Red Jumper may use the Flurry analytics tool in order to develop and analyze use of the Services.
You recognize and agree that the analytics companies utilized by Red Jumper may combine the information collected with other information they have independently collected from other services or products relating to your activities. These companies collect and use information under their own privacy policies.
2. Personal data
We do not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly obtain parental consent or remove the information. We do not use or collect your precise geographic location.
Red Jumper may use personal and non-personal data, both individually and combined together, for purposes of analyzing usage of the Services, providing customer and technical support, customizing Red Jumper’s communications and to further develop the Services and other Red Jumper services and products.
Red Jumper may use your personal and non-personal data, both individually and combined together, for purposes of analysing conversions from Twitter ads and to create tailored audiences for future advertising campaigns.
3. Disclosure and Transfer of Personal Data
Red Jumper has the right to share your personal data as necessary;
- Red Jumper may disclose your personal data to third parties as required by law enforcement.
- Red Jumper may disclose your personal data to third parties when Red Jumper has a reason to believe that a disclosure is necessary to address potential or actual injury or interference with Red Jumper’s rights, property, operations, users or others who may be harmed or may suffer loss or damage.
- Red Jumper may disclose your personal data to any successor or purchaser in a merger, acquisition, liquidation, dissolution or sale of assets.
Red Jumper follows generally accepted industry standards and maintains reasonable safeguards to attempt to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information in Red Jumper’s possession.
Personal data collected by Red Jumper is stored in secure operating environments that are not available to the public. However, no system can be 100% secure and there is the possibility that despite Red Jumper’s reasonable efforts, there could be unauthorized access to your personal data. By using the Services, you assume this risk.
While using Book Creator, under the umbrella of Red Jumper, I have found that the program does not seek any personal data unless the operator chooses to “publish”/purchase their created story.
